a musician to perform at an event, or if you are looking for a guitar teacher,

professional musician for over thirty years (closer to forty years if you include
performances in high school dance bands). My experience has included
playing in rock bands, blues bands, jazz ensembles, accompanying singers /
soloists, swing bands and chamber music ensembles. Performing as a soloist,
however, has long been my specialty.

As a solo musician for hire in Boston and New England, I have provided live
music for countless weddings, receptions, corporate functions, parties and
special events. Live music as entertainment helps to create an upbeat and
elegant ambiance that cannot be duplicated with prerecorded music. Acoustic
instrumental music can achieve this ambiance without being obtrusive. The
Events & Venues page contains more details about the types of events for
which I’ve entertained and many of the venues around New England where
my performances have taken place.


Whether a jazz or classical musician is wanted, I accept bookings in both
genres. Professional musicians for hire often 'cross over' between different
musical styles. My education includes studying jazz at Berklee College of
Music and classical at New England Conservatory, from which I graduated as
a guitar performance major. My background allows me to be comfortable
performing in either genre. Performances can be arranged to be all jazz, all
classical or an eclectic mix. The Music page should give you a pretty good
