PLANNING LIVE MUSICAL ENTERTAINMENT IN NEW ENGLAND?
Providing live musical entertainment for various events has taken me to venues
throughout the six New England states. Audience size has ranged from two
(Valentine’s Day dinner music) to several hundred. This page will provide an
overview for the types of events that planners most frequently ask me to provide
live music for.
CORPORATE FUNCTIONS / EVENTS
Corporate functions are one of my most frequent types of bookings. These
functions might be a grand opening, sales/training meeting, retirement party, fund
raiser or a holiday party. Live performance on acoustic guitar helps to create an
atmosphere which is both “classy” and laid back. Repertoire for corporate
functions might be jazz, classical or a mix. I perform at dozens of these events
every year and my music has always gone over very well.
PRIVATE PARTY - BIRTHDAY, ANNIVERSARY, ANY OCCASION
Private parties are often held in restaurants or function halls, but even more
frequently they are held in homes. The compact space requirements of a solo
guitarist are a big advantage in a home setting. An out-of-the-way corner or top of
a stairway is all the space needed.
WEDDING CEREMONIES / RECEPTIONS
Of course, there is always music at weddings. For wedding ceremonies, the
classical guitar provides an ambiance very similar to the harp. I have performed at
hundreds of weddings and wedding receptions. This experience enables me to
offer qualified assistance in choosing appropriate music.
Following are partial lists of corporate clients and venues in New England where I
have provided live musical entertainment. Individuals who have booked me to
perform at weddings, anniversaries and other private functions are not listed.
